If you don’t follow a band on tour, why not?
Live music is right up there with food for the title of best thing we’ve ever done as people. And some of what we saw this year could easily be considered the smash burger of shows. The cacio e pepe of concerts. The mozzarella stick of mosh pits. It’s hard to put into words the feeling of seeing your favorite artists up on stage, but we made this website... so we might as well try.

Underscores

Good Luck. Underscores is the most interesting thing in hyperpop currently. And their first show ever with a full live band went down in Los Angeles this year. The freaks were out in full effect.

Mount Kimbie

Entrancing. Extremely heavy for chill electronic music. We danced, we cried, we went out for even more drinks after. Good stuff.

Glass Beach

This was the scariest show we’ve ever seen. And not because we feared for our safety, the show not-so-surprisingly was an extremely inclusive crowd—pride and trans flags everywhere you could see. But. We were frightened by the “Fortnite” chants from the crowd. We felt quite old. But the experimental rock show still kicked ass.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

For those of you who know us, no surprise. 3 nights of gizz across southern California. No repeats. From metal, to rap, to rave. A must see, every single time.

The Voidz

The Voidz played Human Sadness.
